Business Consulting OSBI -- Illinois MBA

OSBI has partnered teams of MBA students with corporate, entrepreneurial and non-for-profit clients for over 6 years. They will consider taking on any project that will be of benefit the Illinois MBA students.

NCSA Private Sector Program Site

NCSA's Private Sector Program (PSP) ensures that software and technologies developed at NCSA are made available to American industries. PSP partners learn about new cutting-edge technologies that aren't yet available in the marketplace. Placement Services for Companies, UIUC Biotechnology Center

This site provides a central location where employers can find advanced job degree candidates with various areas of expertise. Employers can pull from 19 departments and 6 different schools and colleges with a biological-related interest. This Placement Services site also offers a resume search service.

Research Park at the University of Illinois

The Research Park has 2 locations on campus where research-based businesses can work with University of Illinois students and graduates. In November 2002, they plan to open an incubator program to help start-ups.

UIUC Biotechnology Center

The Biotechnology Center was established in 1984 and is an interdisciplinary program including almost 130 faculty from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, Medicine, Applied Life Studies, and the Beckman Institute. One of the Center's goals is to create corporate partnerships in research.

Association of University Technology Managers

The Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) is a non-profit organization with over 2300 technology managers and business executive members involved in technology transfer. In addition to membership information, this site includes job information, surveys, and policies.

BIO Biotechnology Industry Organization

BIO started in 1993, and now represents more than 1,000 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations. Their organization's conference is the largest biotechnology event in the world. The Business Solutions section provides information about member discounts and special benefits that are essential to business operations.

Council for Biotechnology Information

This site was founded by a group of biotech companies to create a way to communicate biotechnology information. Links to general biotech information, safety regulations, environmental issues, and other "Essential Links" are available at this site.

The Illinois Biotechnology Industry Organization (IBIO)

This not-for-profit trade association is dedicated to helping biotech companies grow. They also work to promote biotech industries in Chicago and in the State of Illinois. Their members range from start-ups to major corporations to service providers to universities.
